R5estore Computer Software to the Factory Settings for Dell PC (for Microsoft windows Vista)

The best soultion of the day.
Dell Factory Image Restore (for Microsoft Windows Vista) restore your computer software to the original state in which it was shipped to you from Dell, including:

Microsoft® Windows®
Dell-provided utilities and software
Drivers for all hardware included in the original shipment
All default settings
The Dell restore programs do NOT restore any changes made after you first received the computer, including:

Any programs you installed
Any Windows or other software updates you installed
Your user data (such as files, folders, e-mails, and photos)
Drivers for hardware added after you first received your system from Dell
E-mail and Internet settings (including favorites and bookmarks
Note: The Dell restore programs only work on pre-imaged hard drives shipped from Dell and are not options when trying to reinstall on a new or blank hard drive.

CAUTION: You might need to backup all relevant data for the customer. Ask the customer to backup and the data which he/she might need. Performing Recovery will cause customer to loose all the data and programs installed.

Common items to back up include:

E-mails
Address book
Documents
Pictures
Videos
Music
My Documents folder
Desktop items
Favorites
Settings
Any other data you want to safeguard.
Except for the monitor, keyboard, and mouse, remove all external peripherals including:

Scanner
Printer
Modem or Network cables
Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
USB flash drive or other external Hard Drive
Any other external devices (e.g., USB-attached devices)
Note: If you have a portable computer, remove the computer from the docking station, if you are using one.

VERY IMPORTANT: Restoring the original factory image erases ALL existing data. This includes files, folders, programs, drivers, E-mails, photos. Before performing a PC Restore, back up all personal files. If you do not back up your personal files, the data will be lost.

Turn on the computer.
As the computer starts, press on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

Note: You must press before the Windows logo appears on the screen. If you press after the Windows logo appears on the screen, the Advanced Boot Options menu will not appear on the screen. If you do not see the Advanced Boot Options menu, restart the computer, and then repeat this step until you see the menu on the screen.
Press the on the keyboard to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, and then press .
Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.
Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.
Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.
Click to select the Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition check box.
Click Next.
The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.
When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.


The software is now installed as it was when the computer was first received.
Steps to perform if Restore Program fails

You will have to reinstall the operating system manually if:

Dell Factory Image Restore does not restore your operating system to its original condition.
The Repair Your Computer option is not available on the Advanced Boot Options menu.
Dell Factory Image Restore is not an available option in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
