Fix USB device or drive not showing up in My Computer not Windows Explorer

"How to Fix USB device or drive not showing up in My Computer not Windows Explorer"
On some computers the USB device: Ipod, Jumpdrive, flash drive, mp3 player, external harddrive, external dvd, external cd or mass storage device does not show up in my computer nor windows explorer.


Here is what you want to do to fix the USB problem :
go to c:\windows\system32\drivers
find one or all of these files: secdrv.sys, sptd.sys and sptdXXXX.sys (XXX is a number)
rename or delete these files
reboot your machine
re-insert your USB device
This should get your USB going again in My Computer


Note: Applicable for window vista/windows xp/2000
