"Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close"

The best soultion of the day.

I had previously installed the Lexmark X1180. It worked fine, but then I
un-installed the drivers and removed the printer. Everything still worked
fine, and I was able to use another printer, (HP photosmart 6310) over a LAN
connection, but then the print spooler error started. I can't install the
Lexmark drivers again as it says it requires the Print Spooler to be running.
When I tried to start or stop the Print Spooler service, or when I clicked Start and then click Printers and Faxes, I received the following error message:
"Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close."
"I followed the steps to resolve the issue and after that spooler service was working fine."
Step 1: Delete the spool printer and driver files
First you should be delete the spool printer and driver files. To do this, start Microsoft Windows Explorer, and then delete all the files and the folders in the following two folders
C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers
Step 2:Edit the registry
Note: "For added protection, you should be take the back up the registry before modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs".
First, remove the Windows NT subkeys
1:Start Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.:
Locate and expand the following registry key to view the list of subkeys (subfolders):
>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86
2: In the subkey list, there should only be the following subkeys:
>Drivers
>Print Processors
3:If there are any subkeys other than the subkeys that are listed in step 2, follow these steps:
a:On the File menu, click Export.
b:In the File Name box, type the name that you want to use for this key, such as WindowsNTx86regkey, and then click Save.
C:Delete all the subkeys other than the subkeys that are listed in step 2. For delete it right-click each subkey that is not displayed on the list, and then click Delete. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
Second, remove registry entries for the default print monitors
1: Click On start/run and type "regedit" to open registry editor.
2: Locate and then expand the following registry key to view the list of subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors.
In the list of subkeys, there should only be the following subkeys for the default print monitors:
>BJ Language Monitor
>Local Port
>PJL Language Monitor
>Standard TCP/IP Port
>USB Monitor
3: If there are any subkey other then the subkeys which are listed it step2, Delete all the subkeys other than the usbkeys that are listed in step 2.After that exit from registry editor.
3: If the printer driver installed in computer , remove the driver from add-remove program.
4: Disconnect the printer cable.
5: Restart the computer.
6: Delete "Temp"files from "C:/windows/document and setting/user(your user name whch you are using to login for the computer, choose your user name)/Applecation Data(Go----Tools/folder option/click on show hidden files)/temp.
"Under the temp folder delete all the files and folder.
Hopefully this will solve your problem, if it doesn't proceed with the following instructions follow the steps:
Note: After delete the temp files follow this steps:
The Print Spooler service started successfully after running the command to
modify the dependency.
> Open a Command Prompt and issue the following command:
>
> sc config spooler depend= RPCSS
> Note that there is a space after the = but none before. After you run
> the command try restarting the spooler with this command:
>
> net start spooler
> Restart the computer.
14. If you have a local printer attached, reconnect the printer cable to the computer, add the printer that you want, and then try to print a test page. To add your printer, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
b. Click Add a printer.
The Add Printer Wizard starts.
c. Follow the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard to install the printer that you want.
